If you need to submit multiple files for a homework assignment, there is a free tool in Windows and Mac that allows you to zip all files into a single file for submission.


Zipping a file on Windows


  1. Place all the files and folders you would like to zip into a folder.
  2. Right click on the folder you would like to zip.
  3. Click on Send to and select Compressed zipped folder.
  4. You have successfully zipped a folder. You can now upload the zip file to your instructor.

Zipping a file on Mac


  1. Place all the files and folders you would like to zip into a single folder.
  2. Alternatively, select the files you would like to zip, and select New Folder with Selection
  3. Right click on the folder to be zipped, and select Compress.
  4. You have successfully zipped a folder. You can now upload the zip file to your instructor.
